What Great Managers Do Differently

Unless you have never worked a day in your life, it is safe to say that you have encountered a rough situation at a place of employment. We are all different and we all react to each situation differently. However, most can agree that if we have a great working environment and manager it is easier to come to work each day. Having great management lead you makes your environment and actual work (papers, reports, meetings, statistics, etc…) better in the long run. Here is a collective list of what great managers do differently.

  • Connecting with their workers
    -personal interests, home life, etc…
  • Coaching their employees in reviews and one-on-one meetings
-motivational feedback and offering ways to improve
  • Offering team-building meetings and activities
-making sure that all workers get along and are on the same page
  • Helping develop their employees
-letting the employees discover their own path, and then guiding them down that path.
  • Developing some kind of reward system
-nothing major, just something for an incentive.
  • Selecting employees based on talent, personality, and then qualifications.
-It sounds backwards, but it goes a long way.
  • Having a positive environment.

Great managers have a vision for themselves, the company, and their employees. They include their employees, and they work toward the vision as a unit.
