How You Can Be and Stay Happy Working

We get it…work is not always the best. You have good days, you have bad days. You might feel very productive and happy one day but not at all productive and happy the next. Keyword here is happy. Obviously going to your job everyday is not always “fun and games”, but you can at least try to achieve happiness at work. Let’s look at some ideas for workplace happiness suggested by Monster in an article with tips from The Balance Team…
1. Keep Personal Problems Personal
We know you might have personal problems that you want to tackle while at work but this will only stress you out and will overwhelm the people around you at work. Focus on work when you are at work. It is that simple! Try not to bring personal problems to work with you and only address these personal issues on your lunch break if you truly must address them during the work day. Try to focus on work and accomplishing your work goals while you are at work.
2. Office Habitat
This has been written about often, but office environment matters. You need to have a calm, collected space where you are able to accomplish all of your work goals. If you work at a desk, keep it neat and organized. Keep healthy snacks in your drawer if this helps you boost energy and stay nourished while busy working. Keep water at your desk and hydrate often. Bring a plant for your desk if you are allowed and this green bit of life will give off positive nature vibes.
3. Office Support System
Make “office buddies”. Social interaction can be beneficial and a nice thing to have when you are at work. Get to know your coworkers and support them and they will support you in return. If you get the chance to grab coffee with them or go to lunch with them, then do it. Having support from coworkers is helpful and a nice thing to have at the office.
