Powerful CEOs in Tech and Productivity Advice

Do you ever wonder how some CEOs of the largest technology companies around even get through the workday? How do they manage their time and ensure success for their company? How do they manage their work life and personal life and find some sort of balance? Let’s look at how they do it all. This article covers it all...well most of it.

The Tesla Chief says the following: “I do a lot of email—very good at email. That’s my core competency.” He says email helps him maintain all of his activities and run his business. Delegation is key when you are a top executive at a big tech company, or any company for that matter. Even if you aren’t a top executive at your company, managing your email can help you manage your time and be successful.

What does the CEO of both Twitter and Square say? Jack Dorsey recently made news for returning to the social network (Twitter) that he helped launch. How does he juggle managing two companies at once?  According to the article, theme days help Dorsey manage his time and stay productive: “For instance, on Mondays, Dorsey focuses on management, he revealed while speaking at a 2011 conference. So that meant he would take in a directional meeting at Square and an operations committee at Twitter. Tuesdays are for products—nowadays he might be meeting about Twitter’s new Moments feature and Square’s NFC reader. Wednesdays are for marketing and growth, and so on.”  Dorsey says he kind of takes the weekend off…well at least one day off.  He takes Sundays to reflect and recharge and strategize.
