The current opening is for a Plant Metallurgist. Main duties include:
- Hands-on engineering responsibility within melting, casting, rolling, reheating, and scrap operations
- Work with plant leadership to develop and implement process improvement activities
- Assist the metallurgical lab to develop new products and resolve customer technical issues
- Search for ways to improve safety
- B.S. in Metallurgy or Materials Science
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar function
- Strong background working within a steelmaking or processing operation
- Ability to communicate and work with all levels of a manufacturing operation
- Knowledge of chemistry, heat transfer, slag reaction and more
