Our client is growing and looking for personnel who will help take them to the next level. They have plans to expand their workforce in NW Ohio. While corporate is providing the financial backing to do this expansion, they are looking for experience to help guide this development. Currently, our client is looking for a Buyer/Planner at their facility near Defiance, OH. This person will have the ability to make their mark in purchasing and negotiation during this exciting time for the company, as well as enjoy an excellent benefits package that includes comprehensive medical, 401k match, and more.

Duties of the Buyer/Planner include:

• Purchasing of materials and supplies for manufacturing
• Complete purchase orders
• Work with vendors to obtain materials with on-time delivery
• Develop production schedules for manufacturing that meets customer order demands
• Proven Experience in Sourcing Process
• Monitor material levels and ensure adequate availability
• Work with production to resolve any discrepancies related to production schedules
• Negotiate Price Points with Vendors
• Use ERP system to manage inventory data, production schedules, and purchasing information
• Resolve issues with vendors about defective materials
• Revise production schedule based on any changes to demand or manufacturing abilities

Requirements for the Buyer/Planner include:

• Previous experience as a Buyer/Planner in manufacturing is necessary
• Experience working with an ERP or MRP system; Epicor experience very helpful
• Ability to communicate and work cohesively with internal and external personnel
