Our client is an automotive supplier and they are looking for a Supplier Development Engineer to join their team. They have been in business since the late 1950’s and have been successful ever since. This is a direct hire role where you will have the ability to make an immediate impact. The current opening is for a Supplier Development Engineer. Main duties include:
- Develop supplier base, perform supplier auditing, and ensure supplier performance
- Monitor and maintain IATF quality system
- Investigate quality issues and propose solutions
- Travel approximately 25% of the time to support supplier auditing
- APQP, PPAP, SPC, PFMEA, MSA responsibilities
Qualifications include:
- B.S. in Engineering preferred
- Prior experience working in an IATF quality system environment
- Background in supplier development and auditing
- Must be a self-starter
- Strong attention to detail
- ASQ – Certified Quality Engineer desired
- Past lean certifications helpful
