Our client is in need of a Production Manager (1st shift) to join their team.
As Production Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing Production Supervisors and ultimately 500 plus plant associates
- Coaching, training and mentoring staff
- Ensuring production goals are met
- Ensuring plant safety and quality
- Planning and assigning work
- Interviewing and hiring employees
- Reducing costs and scrap
- Preparing and maintaining production reports
- Leading Kaizen events
- Managing projects
- A degree is preferred but not required; equivalent experience will be considered, along with at least 5 years of previous production management experience ideally in an automotive manufacturing facility
- Ability to work 1st shift, but support 2nd and 3rd shift
- Excellent communicaiton and leadership skills
