Our client is a global automotive supplier that is growing rapidly in the United States. This company managed to get thru the economic downturn caused by Covid without losing hardly any talent. Their business continues to thrive, and due to this growth, they currently need to hire an Engineering Technician.
Main duties include:
- Optimizing manufacturing processes for new product introductions- these processes include stamping, welding, and robotics
- Develop new layout for plant equipment
- Use Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and/or Continuous Improvement to help improve processes
- Improve the flow of product/material throughout the facility
- Facilitate PFMEA and Design For Manufacturing
- Develop new standard operating procedures
- Use CAD to aid in plant layout, reading blueprints for designing new manufacturing processes
- At least 1-2 years of experience working as a hands-on engineering technician in a manufacturing facility
- Experience with CAD/equipment layout
- Experience with robotics and/or tooling
