Our client is a global corporation that has been successfully manufacturing high quality products for almost 80 years. They have close to 800 employees at this plant and continue to grow. Their stamping presses range in size from 300-2500 ton. They are in need of a couple Production Engineers to join their team.
As Production Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Improving workflow and processes
- Determining tooling needs
- Assisting with machine installations and modifications
- Determining layouts
- Creating capital equipment budgets
- Troubleshooting stamping and automation equipment
- Redesigning tooling and updating tooling drawings
- Troubleshooting PLC
- Maintaining preventative maintenance
- Maintaining FMEA
- Participating in Kaizen events
- Reducing cycle times
- Working with vendors
- Maintaining safety
To be considered for the Production Engineer position, you must have:
- At least 3 years of previous engineering experience in a manufacturing environment
- Previous tooling experience
- Experience with Pro E, Creo or similar 3D software
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to make and repair tooling
