Our client is a family-owned business that has been around for over 50 years, providing a unique service for a handful of industries and companies throughout northern Ohio. Their plant near Avon, OH is state-of-the-art with the type of equipment they use to provide this unique service. Due to immense growth over the past year, they have been expanding their workforce and have a strong need for an experienced Chemical Project Engineer.
Main duties of the Project Engineer include:
- Work closely with the Engineering Manager in providing process and project support throughout the facility
- Collect and analyze processing equipment data in order to make the necessary improvements
- Assist in improving the plant PSM programs by performing process hazard analysis
- Help ensure the plant is adhering to strict RCRA, Clean Air and Clean Water regulations, OSHA
- Handle all project budgets/timelines and coordinate w/ outside vendors
- Work closely with Plant Maintenance regarding equipment improvement projects
Qualifications include:
- BS degree in Chemical Engineering (or similar engineering degree)
- At least 1-2 years of experience as an Engineer working in a Chemical type of facility
- Familiar with PSM
- Knowledge of chemical plant equipment (I&C, etc)
- Background in hazardous waste facilities and regulations strongly desired
