Our client is a family-owned business that has been around for over 50 years, providing a unique service for a handful of industries and companies throughout northern Ohio. Their plant near Medina, OH is state-of-the-art with the type of equipment they use to provide this unique service. Due to immense growth over the past year, they have been expanding their workforce and have a strong need for an experienced Electrical Controls Engineer.
Main duties of the Electrical Controls Engineer include:
- Lead all electrical plant improvement processes involving PLC systems and distribution controls
- Perform electrical troubleshooting of all plant systems
- Ensure the plant is adhering to strict NEC standards and NFPA codes
- Aid in equipment installation projects including wiring and power for new systems
- Provide electrical training support and electrical safety awareness for high power (480 volt)
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering (or similar engineering degree)
- At least 1-2 years of experience as an Engineer working in an industrial environment
- Excellent knowledge of PLC and DCS
- Strong electrical safety experience
