Their Northeast Indiana location is a bell cow for their company and this plant sets the standard for customer support and delivery. This has led to multiple expansions in facility, team size, and top-of-the-line manufacturing equipment. This is your chance to join this standard setting facility. Currently, our client is looking for a Materials Manager to join their team.

Duties of the Materials Manager include:
- Hire, train, and lead materials department employees
- Create a smooth flow of raw materials to production, to finished goods, to warehousing, and to shipping
- Manage production scheduling
- Develop SOPs for inventory control, material/production planning, warehousing, and shipping
- Ensure adequate availability of materials for production needs
- Use KPIs and other metrics to monitor inventory control, planning, and warehousing efficiency and make adjustments to improve productivity
- Be an active member of the leadership team during management meetings and continuously communicate updates with other department leaders
- Ensure on-time and accurate shipping
- Manage incoming materials and work with suppliers on deficiencies in availability or quality
- Create a proactive and positive working environmental in all areas of materials
- Work cohesively with other plant departments to ensure 100% on time delivery of materials/products internal and externally
- Work with production to resolve any discrepancies related to production schedules
Requirements for the Materials Manager include:
- A Bachelor’s Degree
- Previous experience as a Materials Manager or similar position
- Collaborative personality and strong management skills
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to create positive direction for the department
