Duties and responsibilities of the Buyer include:
- Work in concert with the Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure proper inventory levels for new product launches
- Negotiate with current suppliers and develop relations with potential suppliers to ensure best material pricing and shipping terms
- Occasionally travel to supplier sites to ensure quality and provide supplier evaluations
- Partner with manufacturing to reduce costs, improve processes, and increase efficiencies
Requirements of the Buyer include:
- Bachelor`s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or similar
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems, SAP preferred
- Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Advanced Excel skillset
