Our manufacturing client has been in business for over 40 years and is currently looking to add talent to their team in the form of a Quality Engineer with medical device manufacturing experience. This is a full-time/direct hire opening and you will be a hands-on, technical professional that will help in the continued growth of the organization.
The current opening is for a Quality Engineer. Main duties include:
- Ensure product quality
- Investigate internal and external quality issues
- Identify root cause of quality issues using data analysis, data trending
- Work closely with Operations and Engineering to reduce scrap and drive continuous improvement activities
- Perform product and process validations (IQ, OQ, PQ)
- Interface with customers and coordinate internal efforts to improve processes
- Reduce customer complaints and lower response time
Qualifications include:
- B.S. degree in engineering preferred or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in a similar function
- Prior work experience in the medical device industry or similar
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Strong project management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbal and written
- Excellent research skills
- Ability to use scientific knowledge and statistical methods to identify issues
