They offer excellent benefits including medical, dental, paid time off, bonus and more! Our client is in need of an In-House Counsel to join their team. This is a new position and hybrid role, and you would be required to be in the office 2-3 days per week.
As In-House General Counsel you will be responsible for:
- Working with Corporate Counsel and senior plant leadership to address legal responsibilities and issues
- Being a strategic partner providing guidance and legal advice on various business matters
- Being the primary legal support to the plant
- Communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Representing the company in commercial agreements, labor and employment, intellectual property, regulatory, litigation, and more as needed
- Partnering with HR on any personnel issues
- Amending contracts and executing contract renewals
To be considered for the In-House Counsel position you must have:
- Juris Doctor, along with at least 5 years of previous experience with a law firm or ideally as in-house counsel
- Experience with manufacturing and unions is preferred
- Excellent communication skills and ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality
- Understanding of state and federal labor laws
- Ability to practice law in Ohio
