About the Role:
Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to join their team, assisting the Senior Quality Manager in driving strategic improvements in plant safety, quality, and efficiency. This position plays a key role in ensuring products and processes meet high-quality standards and robust engineering guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze failures and implement corrective and preventive actions for customer complaints.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action efforts using tools like 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone diagrams.
- Troubleshoot product and process issues and lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S, Kaizen).
- Develop and review quality documentation, including First Article Inspection, PFMEA, control plans, and process validations.
- Monitor and report quality metrics and performance.
- Drive supplier development, validation, and supplier quality improvements.
- Facilitate resolution of supplier failures and manage Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
- Identify and implement cost, efficiency, quality, and safety improvement projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in quality engineering or continuous improvement.
- Familiarity with quality systems auditing, Six Sigma principles, FMEA, PPAP, and SPC.
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred).
- ISO or IATF experience (preferred).
- ASQ or Six Sigma Black Belt certification (preferred).
