Our client is a global manufacturing organization that produces a wide variety of metal components and products that are used in a ton of different industries, including automotive, heavy truck, marine, military, etc. They have been growing rapidly in recent years and are looking to add a talented plant leader at their site that is located near Fort Wayne. Main duties of the Manufacturing Supervisor include:
- Directly leading, by example, a team of production associates
- Ensure the plant is meeting safety and quality goals
- Drive profitability and plant success by analyzing KPI’s and metrics
- Conduct meetings every week to highlight changes, results, improvements, etc.
- Work closely with the plant EH&S Manager, Quality Manager and Shipping/Receiving Manager to ensure goals are met
- Use tools such as Lean, Six Sigma and Root Cause to drive improvements and reduce quality and safety incidents
- Work closely with a plant budget to aid in capital projects
Qualifications include:
- BS degree, or comparable experience leading a manufacturing plant
- Strong safety and quality background
- At least 3-5 years of experience working as a Production Supervisor
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills
