Our client is a leading, global company that was founded almost 75 years ago and continues to grow. They are known for their production and recycling capabilities and have recently completed a multi-million dollar expansion. They are in need of a Metallurgist to join their team.
As a Metallurgist, you will be responsible for:
Interpreting and analyzing tests on materials
Investigating any issues with materials
Auditing quality systems
Assisting with continuous improvements throughout the plant
Using SPC and other tools to improve processes
Ensuring plant safety and quality
To be considered for the Metallurgist position you must have:
A BS in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy, along with 5 or more years of related experience
Experience in heavy manufacturing, steels or metals is highly preferred
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Experience with Lean, process improvements, etc
Some relocation assistance will be provided
