This high-volume manufacturing company has modernized their manufacturing plant over the last several years by implementing new capital equipment and optimizing processes. This has created the goal to add some new Engineers to their team to help meet this period of growth and physical expansion. The company had an excellent benefits package, 401k match, bonuses, generous paid time off and paid overtime. This is a non-union facility that will give you an opportunity to shine by working closely with other Engineers and Sr. Management.
Main duties of the Manufacturing Engineer include:
Utilizing Lean/Six Sigma and CI methods on the production floor to optimize manufacturing processes and reduce production costs.
Work very hands-on (sleeves rolled up) on the shop floor with Operators and Technicians to develop ways to improve manufacturing
Aid in new equipment installation projects
Use computer skills to put together presentations for Sr. Management on improvement goals/achievements/ideas.
Work closely with the Maintenance Manager to coordinate machine repair projects
Qualifications:
BS degree in Engineering (not required, just preferred)
Willingness and desire to work very hands-on, getting dirty in a large manufacturing plant
Lean/CI skills or knowledge
Strong communication skills and desire to work in a team environment
