You have to see it to believe it.

Case 1: Growing Manufacturer on a Deadline

The Challenge

As a leader in the RV manufacturing industry who was recently awarded a contract with a large government agency, our client needed several Design Engineers. In order to meet the demand, our client needed someone who could hit the ground running when it came to tackling design and project management. To their dismay, two of the engineers the client had already paid for from other recruiting firms had left the company.

Once our team was put in contact with the client, they had already fallen behind schedule on the design of key components, which put them at risk of incurring penalties and eventually losing their share of the government agency contract.

Our Approach

Our team at Omni One knew we had to work quickly, while also screening engineers to find out their commitment level to taking and maintaining a new position in order to avoid any further delay in client projects. With our client, we were able to pinpoint the reason that previous engineers left the company and use that to our advantage. Together we were able to formulate a contract-to-hire plan to avoid our client going further into debt over engineers that could potentially leave.

The Results

Like many other cases, Omni One was able to find local candidates to our client who were ready to thrive under pressure and work more than the average 40 hours a week. The engineers each had design experience in the automotive manufacturing industry, leaving them highly capable of performing their duties from day 1. Our client began by hiring on two of our engineers on a contract basis until they could get caught back up, then hired one on long-term to keep up with ongoing demand. This engineer is still an important part of our client’s design team and we continue to maintain a strong business partnership.

Case 2: Temporary Contract Turned Asset Employee

The Challenge

Our client is a well-known automotive manufacturing that had a quality department experiencing the most extreme of backlogs. As if a hiring freeze wasn’t enough, the folks who did work there full-time were so overwhelmed with ineffective quality documentation systems that they were not completing the bulk of their actual job duties because they were too busy performing inspections and documenting.

Our Approach

Our team at Omni One immediately knew that the person to fill this need would have to be brought on as a contractor due to the client’s inability to bring someone on directly. To justify the price of bringing in a contractor within such a large corporation, especially in the quality department, the process also had to be well-documented. After a few on-site visits from our firm, we were able to form a reporting solution that worked for both groups, along with an onboarding and training program for the contractor to undergo.

The Results

By no fault of our own other than seeing a dependable and creative spark in an Automotive Inspection professional, our contractor completely blew this role apart and redesigned it. What was meant to be a temporary loadbearing position has turned into an asset, since our contractor streamlined the quality documentation process and moved into a leadership role.

Case 3: Finagling a Team to Take on New Projects

The Challenge

Our client is a Systems Integrator, and much like any other business, they were looking to grow. Unfortunately, their technical team was preoccupied by current projects and didn’t have the capacity to add more. In addition to needing more staff, our client was also located in a rural area, with little technical talent to go around.

Our Approach

The first step our team took was to help our client determine what kind of professionals they would need by laying the framework of what kind of new projects they were seeking to take on.  We also collaborated to find the perks of the company that reached past the location setbacks and emphasized those in our advertisements to our talent network.

The Results

After only a few weeks, our team secured multiple Mechanical and Electrical Engineers for our client, allowing them to take on new business after only two weeks’ time training and acquainting the engineers with their company. This employment growth provided the key our client needed to unlock half a million dollars in revenue, and that is just the beginning. As our client continues to grow, we look forward to continuously being the first recruiting firm they call.
