A recent article in Entrepreneur Magazine  explored the idea of leadership and being well-liked. You would think that in order to be a leader you would need to be well-liked. This is the case for many leaders. But, there is a range of how much you are liked when you are a leader. So, what makes a well-liked leader? What about an ultra-liked leader? Personal Connections

The well-liked leader makes personal connections. They remember names and say hello in the office. They form human relationships with the people at the office and they form relationships with all levels.

Approachable

Likable leaders are approachable. They don’t find your opinions and thoughts to be trivial. They take time to listen to you when you talk; likable leaders make you feel comfortable enough to approach them and speak to them.

Positive

Likable leaders are positive thinkers. They see the big picture and have a more optimistic approach most of the time. They can try to see the good in any situation and make the best of the circumstances. This is key to good leadership because positivity keeps up morale around the office.
