It’s a new year…you know what that means! Resolutions! But not just resolutions for the month of January or February. Lasting change is what matters. Are you living a healthy lifestyle? Do you want to be healthier in 2016? In the age of social media, smartphones where we are connected to work emails all day and all night, and constant stress in our lives, it seems there is little time to focus on improving in a healthy way. Let’s look at how a health expert says that this can all change. What does this health expert say we need to do to get healthier in 2016? Let’s find out…

  • Break unhealthy habits and ask why. We need to really want things if we are going to take the time to enact change in our lives. But why do we want to improve our lives and get healthier? How can we get healthier? What is the motivation behind improving our health? Always ask why and push yourself to find your motivation. Have clear goals. Knowing your goals and why you want achieve them will lead you down the right path to getting healthier this year.
  • Focus on what you eat. Food matters just as much as exercise. Be healthy and happy by planning to eat better this year. Find the diet that is right for you. Figuring out what is right for you matters the most. See what you like and know what you are getting into when it comes to diet. Choosing a diet full of foods you don’t like will make you reach for the junk to get your fix and this will derail you. As with other goals in your personal and professional lives, goals need to be realistic and should be achieved in steps.
