Purchasing Manager Responsibilities:
- Lead Purchasing: Drive both day-to-day and long-term purchasing efforts.
- Supplier Negotiation: Work with suppliers to enhance cost, processes, and quality.
- Cost Reduction: Craft and execute strategies to help suppliers meet cost-saving goals.
- Team Leadership: Set department goals and guide the team to hit targets and KPIs.
- Quality Control: Ensure suppliers meet our quality standards.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with manufacturing teams to meet supply chain needs.
- Reporting: Create and share supply chain reports with executive leaders.
- RFQ Management: Estimate costs for new projects and evaluate RFQs.
- Data Management: Input accurate information into our ERP system.
- Education: Bachelor's degree. Certifications in the field are a bonus.
- Experience: Proven track record leading sourcing or purchasing in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Negotiation Skills: Demonstrated success in finding new suppliers and strategic negotiations.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- ERP Proficiency: Ability to use ERP systems for reporting and analysis.
